Sandita Cucumber, also known as Mouse Melon, Mexican Sour Gherkin, or Cucamelon, is a unique and delicious bite-sized fruit! Hailing from Central and South America, these grape-sized cucumbers offer a crisp texture with a refreshing, slightly sour tang.
While slow to establish, Sandita thrives once it takes off, producing an abundance of tiny, watermelon-like fruits that can be harvested straight from the vine or picked off the ground when perfectly ripe. With its cute, delicate leaves and natural resistance to disease, this variety is easier to grow than traditional cucumbers. It is also quite drought-tolerant, making it an excellent choice for low-maintenance gardens. We’ve found it grows best in a greenhouse, where it flourishes all season long.
Grow Sandita Cucumber for a fun, flavorful, and easy-to-grow addition to your garden that produces unique, delicious fruits all season long!
