Sonoran White Tepary Bean is an ancient heirloom, cultivated for over 4,000 years for its exceptional drought tolerance and rich flavor. Thought to have been first domesticated in Northwest Mexico, this variety has been traditionally grown by the Tohono O’odham, Paiute, and Pima peoples.
These small white to whitish-green beans are sweeter than other tepary varieties, yet they still retain a robust earthiness that makes them perfect for soups, stews, and traditional dishes. Their ability to thrive in extreme heat and dry conditions makes them one of the most resilient beans for arid climates.
Grow Sonoran White Tepary Bean for a taste of history and a highly resilient, nutrient-rich harvest!
